Hey everyone,
Wanted to give an update as to what is going on in our world.
I am finally feeling better after being sick for over 2 months! It was horrible. I am so thankful that I am better and can go places and leave the house. I know Chad is happy too!

BJ got his yearly check up and is doing great, just a little overweight! We just bought a yearly pass to the Park right near us so we are all excited about that. Hopefully that will help him (and us) get some exercise, and he is also on a strict diet.

Chad is doing great. He got some news from work that he has to move plants soon, and he isn't too happy about that. Other than that though he is doing well.

We are planning to go to North Carolina in early April to see an old friend. We are taking about 12 friends with us, and cannot wait for that! We rented a beach house and it should be a whole lot of fun.

I'll post some picks when we get back,
Melissa
This year has started out pretty rough for us. We had a power outage shortly after the new year that lasted for 2 hours.. not bad.. but the loss of water afterwards was not so much fun. We quickly found out that when you have 1 problem there is likely to be 2 or 3 problems hidden underneath. Owning a house is just wonderful.
We spent a few days without water and finally got it fixed. Let's just say a new well pump is in our near future.

During the water problem we got a call from Chad's mom telling us that Grandma Collins was not going to make it through the night. We of course rushed up and got to see her and all the family in the hospital. They were keeping her asleep and pain free with a morphine drip. She passed that night/early morning.

We are heading up to the funeral this week and Chad gets a few days off from work for bereavement.

So far we are not big fans of 2010. I am hoping it gets better from here on out.

After getting married in June, we decided that we would need a good way to update our family about our lives. Christmas cards just don't cut it.

Especially with family so far away, we felt the best way to keep you in the loop was this blog. We will try to post at least once a month with pictures and detailed stories about our everyday life. You'll feel like you live next door.
We look forward to sharing our life with you!
